USTA NorCal's Board of Directors approved a $25 'facility use fee.' This tax will be added to every League registration and paid directly into the pockets of mostly private clubs. We, the League players, demand an immediate revocation of this $25 tax! This blog will provide the latest updates as this story develops and more information becomes available. Please share with your tennis network. #SaveNorCalLeagues

This is silly - the private clubs are charging their members a fee to play USTA leagues already; essentially club members will be double taxed!
ReplyDeletethey will increase the private club fees even more once they eliminate public court teams. who are these USTA NorCal Board of Directors? Do they work for the clubs or get special rates?
ReplyDeleteWe will boycott this increase and stop participation untill this is removed
ReplyDeleteif this starts in NCAL, you can expect other Sections to follow suit, as well as National Office make excuses to take more money.
ReplyDeleteIf the USTA Norcal Board of directors see how easy it is to reach into our pockets with a simple 9-7 vote in ONE board meeting, we can count on it again next year. Boycott looks like the answer.
