Letter from USTA NorCal, presumable sent to all League players:
Important Communication Regarding Adult Leagues
We are pleased to announce that the USTA Northern California Board of Directors recently met and revisited the Facility Use Fee passed back in December. Based on the feedback provided by our players, staff and facilities, the Directors formally voted to rescind the 2020 Facility Use Fee.
We want to thank all USTA NorCal members for your passion and patience over the last few months and while all of our lifestyles have been greatly impacted by the Shelter in Place orders, we hope to continue growing the sport of tennis, while providing a positive and fun environment.
Over the next few days, USTA NorCal will be sending additional information outlining safety protocols and procedures in order to ensure a safe return to the game we all love. Below you will find an updated Adult League Schedule for the 2020 interrupted leagues. More details on league play regarding schedules, playoffs and championships for the 2020 and 2021 seasons will be provided in the coming weeks.
Again, thank you for your feedback, patience and especially your support for the game of tennis. We hope to see you back on the courts soon!
Congrats to all that signed and supported !
ReplyDeleteYes! We need to continue to insist the NorCal BoD be transparent: inform and gather feedback from members on potential controversial issues that affect membership BEFORE implementing; publish the annual budget (at the very least, have it accessible on the NorCal website.)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to thank the virus for affecting this decision. Don't forget to follow proto out on the courts!
